One or two moments of miscommunication at the back. 5\u003C\u002Fp>\n\u003Cp>Amar Dedic: Made an impressive start to his Newcastle career, and carries a real threat going forward, but caught out defensively for both goals. Did swing in the ball for the equaliser, though. 4\u003C\u002Fp>\n\u003Cp>Malick Thiaw: Stand-in captain in Dan Burn's absence once again, but could only watch on as he put through the net after his block on Alex Scott's cross looped into the bottom corner. 5\u003C\u002Fp>\n\u003Cp>Sven Botman: A poor clearance before Marcus Tavernier's opener but went on to make a couple of crucial interventions to deny Evanilson. 5\u003C\u002Fp>\n\u003Cp>Lewis Hall: Substituted at half-time in the corresponding fixture back in April but coped better with Rayan this time. 6\u003C\u002Fp>\n\u003Cp>Nico Gonzalez: Struggled to have the same effect as his impressive debut against Tottenham Hotspur. Missed a tackle on Tavernier before Bournemouth's second goal and only partially blocked Scott's effort in the build-up to the visitors' first. 5\u003C\u002Fp>\n\u003Cp>Lewis Miley: So much potential, and still so young at 20, but struggled to get a handle on Bournemouth's midfield. Passing not to usual standard. 5\u003C\u002Fp>\n\u003Cp>Anthony Elanga: Quickly frustrated with refereeing decisions going against him. Got little change from Adrien Truffert. 5\u003C\u002Fp>\n\u003Cp>Joe Willock: Couldn't fault his effort as he chased down Bournemouth players and attempted to make blocks. Came close to equalising with a header. 5\u003C\u002Fp>\n\u003Cp>Harvey Barnes: Stepped up when Newcastle were on very shaky ground with a stunning goal from the hosts' first shot on target. Often frustrated by failure, but always capable of a big moment. 7\u003C\u002Fp>\n\u003Cp>Subs:\u003C\u002Fp>\n\u003Cp>Matias Fernandez-Pardo (on 63, Willock): Got a huge welcome on his debut. Quickly won a free-kick and worked hard to win the ball back. 6\u003C\u002Fp>\n\u003Cp>Jacob Ramsey: Popped up with a precious equaliser to secure a point with a well-taken finish. 7\u003C\u002Fp>\n\u003Cp>Jacob Murphy (on 77, Elanga): 6\u003C\u002Fp>\n\u003Cp>Sean Steur (on 77, Gonzalez); 6\u003C\u002Fp>\n\u003Cp>Subs not used: Nick Pope, Tino Livramento, Fabian Schar, Aladji Bamba, Bazoumana Toure\u003C\u002Fp>\n\u003Ch2>Bournemouth\u003C\u002Fh2>\n\u003Cp>Djordje Petrovic: Little he could do for Barnes' goal, but otherwise a relatively comfortable afternoon. 6\u003C\u002Fp>\n\u003Cp>Adam Smith: Played a role in Tavernier's opener by nudging the ball to Scott in the build-up. Tested on one or two moments defensively, but still showing his value at 35. 6\u003C\u002Fp>\n\u003Cp>James Hill: Solid. Has already become a very important player for manager Marco Rose. 6\u003C\u002Fp>\n\u003Cp>Antonio Silva: Took a nasty blow to the head from Elanga's shoulder, but the summer signing shook it off. 6\u003C\u002Fp>\n\u003Cp>Adrien Truffert: Coped expertly with the in-form Elanga and caused Dedic real problems going the other way. 7\u003C\u002Fp>\n\u003Cp>Tyler Adams: First competitive start under Rose. Could have got closer to Barnes for Newcastle's goal, but hard to see him coming out of the side after this display. 7\u003C\u002Fp>\n\u003Cp>Alex Scott: So influential. Played a key role in both of his side's goals. Passing and vision stood out throughout. 8\u003C\u002Fp>\n\u003Cp>Rayan: Not as effective as he was in the corresponding fixture last season. Rose was roaring at him at one stage. 5\u003C\u002Fp>\n\u003Cp>Marcus Tavernier: Showed great anticipation to put the visitors in front. He's now scored in each of his past three trips to St James' Park. Could have netted a couple on this visit. 7\u003C\u002Fp>\n\u003Cp>Justin Kluivert: Helped set up Bournemouth's crucial second goal after boldly letting fly from 35 yards out. Always a handful. 7\u003C\u002Fp>\n\u003Cp>Evanilson: Had a real battle with Botman.
